Over the past two years Studio Binocular has designed, programmed and produced one of the highlight events
of the State of Design Festival. Iron Designer sees eight design teams go head-to-head in a cut-throat battle –
with 20 minutes to develop a design concept live on stage. The event has successfully generated a diverse and
enthusiastic following – growing from a sell-out at Trades Hall in 2008 to a sell-out at Federation Square in 2009.
And in the spirit of all great rivalries, we’ll be taking the show on the road to run events in both Sydney and
Melbourne in 2010. Iron Designer Melbourne will be on 23rd July at Federation Square, while Iron Designer
Sydney will rock the Powerhouse Museum on August 6th. Get ready to rumble!
